Each year, CHARTS and Campbeltown Museum aim to take part in Scottish Book Trust Live Literature, helping to bring authors, storytelling, and creative learning opportunities to both local audiences and schools.
Campbeltown Museum welcomes engagement from the wider community and from primary and secondary schools, offering tailored sessions that connect literature, local heritage, and the museum’s collections. These activities are led by the museum’s Heritage Learning and Access Coordinator, Khara MacPhail, who develops and delivers the outreach programme.
Read below to discover how Khara creates meaningful outreach work that inspires young people, engages local audiences, and strengthens connections between stories, heritage, and Campbeltown’s rich cultural identity.
This event is supported by Culture Heritage and Arts Assembly, Argyll and Isles (CHARTS), with funding from Scottish Book Trust’s Live Literature programme, and further support from Argyll and Bute Council, liveArgyll and Creative Scotland.
