In 2023 to 2024, CHARTS supported the first cohort of members to undertake new international work funded by Creative Scotland.
The chort was supported through the Growing Global Networks programme, designed to facilitate growth in international connectivity, including webinars, mentoring sessions, and mapping sessions, to support members, specifically from Argyll and Bute, in undertaking international work with a wide range of partners.
Growing Global Networks' award-holders included Bobbi Cameron, Eve Campbell, Rudy Kanhye, Adrien Howard, Naoko Mabon, Giles Perring, and Miek Zwamborn. Working with international collaborators, Growing Global projects link Argyll and Bute with Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Mauritius, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Uganda and the USA. Themes for visits and exchanges include colonial legacies, social justice, and processes of making, including craft, sustainability, and indigenous resources.
