Creative Connections is an innovative heritage project developed in partnership with liveArgyll and the Kintyre Link Club, with support from Argyll and Bute Council, Museums Galleries Scotland and the Baring Foundation's Creative Minds Fund.Â
Creative Connection’s Project Manager, Ros McKenna, has been working with Kintyre Link Club, introducing them to The Argyll Collection and Campbeltown Museums' collections. This work has laid the foundation for the Link Club to co-curate a one-month exhibition at the museum in 2026, featuring artworks from both collections.
In 2026, Creative Connections will be joined by a project artist who will deliver practical sessions to support the co-curating of the exhibition. Participants will work with both the Creative Connections Project Manager and Project Artist to jointly decide the theme and details of the exhibition, with the co-curation aiming to build heritage awareness and enable new experiences in collections research, interpretation, installation, and event planning. This co-curation learning model is based on exhibitions facilitated by CHARTS to date using The Argyll Collection, including at Mount Stuart, Bute.
