Explore exhibitions featuring works by Samuel Peploe and William McTaggart, and discover connections to the Kilmartin Museum and the rich heritage of Argyll. Tha AITHNE na thùs-phròiseact a’ comharrachadh 37 de luchd-ealain air feadh na h-Alba. Air a choimiseanadh le Engage Scotland agus ga lìbhrigeadh le CHARTS, tha e a’ cur taic ri lìonraidhean cultarail na Gàidhlig le bhith a’ nochdadh bheachdan, dhùbhlan agus cheanglaichean. Dèan rannsachadh air clàr eadar-ghnìomhach an stòir-dàta gus ceangal a dhèanamh ri ealain Lèirsinneach Ghàidhlig an latha an-diugh. AITHNE is a pilot project mapping 37 Gaelic participatory visual artists across Scotland. Commissioned by Engage Scotland and delivered by CHARTS, it supports Gaelic cultural networks by sharing insights, challenges, and connections. Growing Global Networks 2023-25

Growing Global Networks was a pilot project supporting the CHARTS community to gain insight into international working. By connecting CHARTS members with professionals from beyond the UK we will highlight (international) best practice, advance the understanding of international networks and support our members to develop their work for international linking and exchange. Cuairt Chaluim Chille // Touring St Columba 2023-24

Air iasad bho Thaigh-tasgaidh Sgìre Thìr Chonaill, Èirinn, tha Cuairt Chaluim Chille air taisbeanadh don chiad uair ann an Alba. Chaidh an turas seo fad bliadhna a chur air bhog ann an Ceann Loch Chille Chiarain 9 Ògmhios 2023, Là Chaluim Chille, agus tadhlaidh e air ionadan cudromach ann an Earra-Ghàidheal thairis air a’ bhliadhna romhainn. Aig gach ionad, bidh tachartasan Gàidhlig an lùib an turais. // On loan from Donegal County Museum, Ireland, Cuairt Chaluim Chille // Touring St Columba is on show for the first time in Scotland. This year-long tour was launched in Campbeltown on the 9th of June, 2023, the Feast Day of St Columba and will tour will tour key sites in Argyll over the next 12 months. At each venue, the tour will be supported by Gaelic culture and language events.

Argyll Aspires 2022-24

Argyll Aspires is a CHARTS-led project in collaboration with Dunollie Museum, Castle & Grounds, the Argyll Collection and Argyll Estates. Evolve Arts and Tourism 2022

Evolve Arts and Tourism took place in 2022 and created a new programme of work across Argyll and Bute to help mitigate the socio-economic challenges exacerbated by the pandemic. This took the form of five area-based projects in Dunoon, Oban, Kyles of Bute and Lismore. Over the course of 2022, the projects emerged to create a unique offering for locals and visitors. Heritage Horizons Image Compilation 2022

Heritage Horizons 2021-22

Heritage Horizons created empowering opportunities for young people across Argyll and Bute to engage with museums and heritage. Through placements, volunteering, visits, and workshops, participants develop new skills, achieve nationally recognised awards, and discover Argyll’s rich culture. Heritage Horizons aimed to foster a love of heritage and address the sector’s ageing volunteer workforce. Heritage Horizons is funded by the ScottishPower Foundation and ran until May 2022.

Place Makers: Microcluster 2020-21

Since March 2020 CHARTS has been working closely with Dr Michael Pierre Johnson from The Innovation School at Glasgow School of Art to research the impacts of creative collaborations in Argyll and Bute. The research project, Microcluster Networks Argyll and Isles, focused on providing bespoke development support through one-to-one sessions, webinars and workshops for organisations and individuals across the region. Duais Dileab Chaluim Chille / Colmcille Legacy Award was a national award scheme created in partnership by Bòrd na Gàidhlig and the Culture, Heritage and Arts Assembly, Argyll and Isles, to commemorate Colmcille's life and cultural legacy through the year of Colmcille, 1500 (2021). The CHARTS Under 30 Group (CU30)is a membership group of CHARTS members under 30 years of age. The aim of the group to increase opportunities for young people in the region, develop new programmes that are peer-led and offer peer-to-peer support.
